  1. “American feminists are no doubt willing to see the war go on indefinitely in pursuit of their fantasy,” writes Linn. “After all, most of the American dead are male soldiers and Marines, a type of man feminists particularly loathe.” Because of course in complete contradiction to feminist ideology there is no surer way to get men into action than to claim women and children are in danger. After all the constant rallying cry for dealing with “grooming gangs” is that its “women and girls” who were/are preyed upon and just yesterday visiting a museum there were the recruitment posters for early WW1 calling for British men to step up to avenge the women of Belgium and France from the despicable “Hun”.

And on a note of practical politics how idiotic to believe you win “hearts and minds” in Afghanistan if you so publicly accuse the men of being wholesale oppressors and abusers of their mothers, wives, sisters and daughters. When they believe that their culture is protecting the same! Possibly one of the only sensible thing Biden said, in this case as vice president and with a son serving in the military, “making sure girls go to school is not what they’re for” . After all in a country where practically no one goes to something we’d recognise as a school.

In reality feminist interest in far distant lands is really because the sort of “oppression” they bang on about is non existent in their own societies (and in the UK ignored if it occurs in a favoured group, yes Jess Phillips that’s you) and so one finds wailing about schooling for girls in Afghanistan immediately linked to the desperate need for women CEOs in New York!
