I read what I assume to be much the came article in the Independent. I thought this line was ironic. “It’s very easy to walk around hating 50 per cent of the population if you’re never subjected to that half of the population.” Given that is precisely what feminism is !

Thanks. Of course it begs the question of WHY they’re never “subjected to” – a curious turn of phrase. The answer of course is that young women don’t find these young men of interest as romantic partners, so what’s the point in “training” them about dating?

A suggestion based on research in Singapore…… not exactly similar to the UK. Though I suppose classes on dating might attract pupils interest. During the height of the Adolescence moral panic I saw an interview of Andrew Thomas. In it he said one of the false ideas was about 80% of women focus on 20% of men as dateable. Then a few moments later said on dating sites the females “swiping” men was in exactly that pattern ! In effect the “incel” claim had more empirical validity than his own claim! I’m always intrigued by the conflation of “Andrew Tate” and Incel, given the former’s image as a magnet for “babes”.

Its a pity that academia don’t offer among their “compulsory classes for students and academics called “critical thinking( the ability to discern, question and challenge what you have been told)”
