An interesting case reported by The Independent and other outlets, Woman loses £400k injury claim after being filmed walking ‘strong’ husky. The woman in question is Hazel Boyd. An extract:
“Dismissing her claim at London’s High Court today, Mr Justice Cotter said Ms Boyd had failed in her claim under the Animals Act 1971 because she had not provided convincing evidence that the horse she was riding “jinked” because it was scared.
He went on to find that she had “deliberately overplayed her symptoms and level of disability” during appointments with medical experts, but added that her actions were not so bad as to qualify as “fundamental dishonesty” which would have seen her handed the massive court bill for the case.” [J4MB emphasis.]

Of course it doesn’t because women routinely do this. From every woman in any job being “amazing” to various “epidemics” of crimes which are in fact very rare we have become used to “fact free” public debate where what women claim they feel is true is taken as being true. Such as the supposed “gender pay gap” Gender pay gap REVERSES as ‘crisis of masculinity’ reshapes workforce – New report shows ‘men are falling behind’ There has in fact not been a gender pay gap for young people (under 30) for a decade, so its only headlines that its “Reversed” because the media simply have believed hyperbolic claims of a “gender pay gap” just because women said there was one. Now the current gap should worry the nation because contributing to it is the simple fact that the public sector (mainly female) has just had a series of huge pay rises while manufacturing industry (mainly male) has been laying off and cutting hours. The latter of course a very bad indicator for us all if its our productive sectors that are in trouble!
