I don’t have a BBC TV licence – why would I want to fund 24/7/365 anti-male propaganda? – but access to BBC radio and its archives remains free. I’m a huge fan of Cerys Matthews, in particular her weekly Blues Show, available on BBC Sounds. Her 17th February show kicked off with a song by someone I hadn’t heard of before, Junior Parker. The song title Love Ain’t Nothin’ But A Business Goin’ On.
Junior Parker (1932-71) was an American blues singer and harmonica player. YouTube has a number of files of the aforementioned track, one of them here (audio, 3:21). The following refrain appears a number of times:
Love ain’t nothing but a business goin’ on.
When there ain’t no money comin’ in,
You wake up one morning to find your baby gone.

Basically, the main trading card of the male in the sexual marketplace is having a job. https://assets.csom.umn.edu/assets/71503.pdf
As an academic, Roy Baumeister was brave to point out that, for a man, no job = no nookie.
That simple male aspiration is thwarted, these days, by EEO, AA, ESG, DEI. And having successfully made the Universities a hostile environment for men, graduates are 70% female, so the future isn’t a beacon of hope.
