  1. To be fair to Andy Burnham he did have an inquiry in GM and it did find fear of being called “racist” was part of the reasons this went on for a decade in Rochdale Oldham and Manchester city itself. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c93l5y8v1pxo He also has said it was hampered by not having the power of statute to force witnesses to give evidence, the Police force in particular took advantage of this not to give evidence. His point behind calling for a national inquiry is to force Police and other national agencies to give evidence and in doing so show this is not a “local” issue. The fact that a leading labour politician is basically slapped down by Nandy and Phillips relying on a Tory inquiry tells you they are petrified of the findings of a review that links the existing local ones and draws out to complicity of Police, CPS and MoJ in the sorts of cover ups local social services and councils engaged in, already revealed in those local reports.

  2. I pray the various opposition to “the Government” continue to push this issue. The vehemence of the resistance shows how damaging a real expose of this will be to the whole “diversity” bandwagon as all the self declared virtuous are shown up having concealed such a massive scandal. I also hope some honest Londoners start to look closely at their 32 boroughs. It seems inconceivable that all of these remained unaffected when there are cases in every county of England. Way back in 2018 when I got briefings on this the Ministry estimated close to 20,000 victims of the then known gangs in the previous decade ( half children on care or on child protection registers). After the “fake’ gang in barrow ( as per the Ch 4) a real gang was uncovered with prosecutions last year ! There was also a prosecution of a gang from Oldham/Tameside. It did not end in 2018 and there must be 6 years more of victims.

In reality the “trans” idiocies involve comparatively tiny numbers of children and adults. And it’s idiocies did for Nicola Sturgeon. The Grooming Gangs scandals, if joined up , dwarf anything else. And call into question the whole idea of all the decades of “diversity” and “equality” when in fact we abandoned tens of thousands to appaling crimes while our services went on pride parades, imprisoned people for tweets and records wolf whistles as if rape . And of course abandoned any idea of dealing with thefts, burglary, assaults, protecting vulnerable children … If they had to do this to address grooming gangs there may be an excuse but as the existing inquiries indicate that was not what was happening.

  3. Labour MP for Rotherham calls for locally-led national grooming gangs inquiry | The Standard I see Sarah Champion has now said there should be a national inquiry. For the same reasons others have demanded it. The local enquiries are limited to local authority services and effectively leave out the “Crown” services Police and CPS and Home Office ministries. Its now absolutely transparent that the resistance from the Gov. is to suppress anything that may demonstrate the widespread nature of the “grooming gangs” scandal.
