Interesting. I cannot find the word “feminist” in Matt Goodwin’s piece. Julie Bindel has penned a response A response to Matt Goodwin’s claims, with the byline:
“Yet another man is claiming that feminists don’t care about ‘white, working class girls’ being abused by predatory gangs of men. I put him right.”
Goodwin’s piece is about the progressive-leaning elite media class in general. Bindel’s piece, as so often, is mainly about herself (and abusive white men).

The battle to get anything done is exemplified in local woman, Maggie Oliver’s battle to get some real acknowledgement and action here in Greater Manchester. Rape gang whistleblower detective slams PM’s ‘far right extremists’ claim – Manchester Evening News She started her work in 2012 having resigned from GMP because a major investigation into abuse rings operating for the previous decade were let off the hook by the cancellation of the GMP Operation. Because of a subsequent report on Rochdale (a borough of GM) and of GMP in Oldham commissioned by the GM Mayor (who is also Police and Crime Commissioner) we know the cancellation was due to “community cohesion”. All this had local coverage but of course got practically nil nationally. All this over a period of 12 years during which case after case was found in nearly 50 towns in England, including again in Oldham last year and in Barrow (not the “fake” ring Ch. 4 chooses to re air tonight).
To my knowledge the Metropolitan Police have never prosecuted any such case in any of the 32 boroughs there. Does make one wonder what is happening in Greater London. Certainly it means the problem is constantly down played as “northern” even though almost every county outside London has had at least one town with such a case identified.
I notice Professor Alexis Jay is wheeled out to say there is no need for another enquiry following hers. With the reporting skating over the simple fact that not one of her 20 recommendations have been actioned. Which does tend to prove the point, that there was no commitment from Westminster as a whole to do anything; and certainly no push from the “third estate” to hold politicians to account through.
Jess Philips strategy was to kick the ball back to Oldham to keep it a “northern” problem of interest only to local folk. Keeping attention far away from the Westminster Village and doing anything. Perhaps most of all keeping attention far away from the very unlikely circumstance that this is not an issue in the tens of boroughs in the Metropolitan Police area. I cannot imagine if Oxford and Aylesbury have had such gangs the London boroughs are immune.

And like Bindel, Phillips plays the “poor me” card Elon Musk’s ‘disinformation’ endangering me, says Jess Phillips – BBC News Notwithstanding her never ending publicity seeking as an MP and the fact she is now a minister of the crown with all the “voice” such power gives. Somehow she’s being “silenced”. Whereas of course Musk has effectively given her huge publicity and every other media outlet waits on her every word!!!
