1. If one were wanting to be “non-binary” the logical thing would be to dress in the sort of unisex clothing popular in the 70s. These days it even easier to be “unisex” as there is lots of un tailored “sports” derived clothing in a myriad of colours and styles all it needs is to avoid the obviously “shaped” versions and stick to the more body concealing styles . It makes no actual sense to claim to be “non binary” and then dress up in conventionally very female dresses from Bon Marche. Or of course take the Maoist route to universal shapeless suits, non binary to a fault.

   Generally I think young men seeking work in many fields should self identify as non-binary. As to don some rather shapeless Adidas outfit, teamed with some multi coloured socks perhaps, may be small price to pay to get on one of the fast track recruitment and promotion mentoring/training/quotas demanded by DEI initiatives. Using “self-identification” to the max.

   And when there is all sorts of confusion and recrimination just maybe some sanity may start to return and silly exhibitionists such as pictured in this will be called out for the numpties they are.

   It interesting that Esses repeatedly makes the point that it is predominantly girls who are subject to “social contagion” and develop all sorts of mind and body problems from eating disorders to gender dysphoria. Maybe its a tactic because our society doesn’t much bother about boys or maybe Esses is as gynocentric as any. It probably is the case that action will follow concern about girls, just as the closure of the Tavistock followed the “shocking” data that girls had become its majority of referrals.

   Meanwhile I suppose Mz Russel will continue to channel his inner Eurovision “Conchita” and believe he’s a very special person.
