Our thanks to Daniel for this piece on the BBC. An extract:
“Over the next 18 months, the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) told BBC Verify it estimated up to 4,000 extra male prisoners and fewer than 1,000 female prisoners will be released under the new measures.”
Daniel comments:
“There’s 3,600 women in prison in the uk, and are in for more serious crimes than men, on average. Yet in September, they’re releasing 1000 of them. (Or ‘just under 1000’) which is around 25% of the entire population. In contrast, just 5% of male prisoners are being released in September.”
In my opinion a very BAD decision and of course a lot of female privilege!

Yes, that ratio. Inching forward to no women in prison at all. We all know the day is coming.
