Women’s Equality Party candidates lose their deposits

Some good news from the election. The four candidates for the ludicrous Women’s Equality Party all lost their deposits, at least I assume they did, after checking out the results for Congleton, where Kay Wesley secured 544 votes (1.1%) of the 49,425 total. From her website:

“In her time as a Councillor, Kay has a track record of working collaboratively across the board to end violence against women and girls [J4MB emphasis] by getting White Ribbon Accreditation and helping start a domestic abuse clinic.”

  1. Well frankly with the Labour Party in power and the Liberals, Greens and SNP in Parliament (and the Conservative men constantly demonstrating their inner White Knight) the WEP is entirely redundant.

  2. LOL. “Women’s Equality Party”…

Someone ought to call their bluff and give them actual equality — it’d be like being downgraded from first class to cattle class.
