Very heartening. I was interested that two statements were from Czechs. One pointing out that marxist underpinning of feminism in the UN, and that they had experience of what that means behand the Iron curtain. This reminded my of my friend at Chapel. went to work in the then Czechoslovakia not long after the failed “Prague Spring”. Eventually falling in love and marrying there. Her reminiscences are in one way quite ordinary yet also really shocking how deep into daily life the coercion and control extended, even into most trivial aspects of life. Over the years I have been shocked at the levels of oppression required to enforce “equality” and the amount of corruption and suspicion. It will be interesting to see if the ICMI is influenced by this by being held in Hungary.
