“… these cancellations are all the actions of a left that has swapped anti-fascism and feminism for anti-Semitism and men’s rights activism.”Can anyone provide an example of the “left” abandoning feminism for men’s rights activism? Maybe Lineham is alluding to the ludicrous feminist lie that MRAs are behind trans ideology. I’ve never even heard of an MRA who is.

The big issue I have with Lineham is that he appears to be a feminist and while I agree with him (mostly) on trans issue I don’t agree on much else. As far as I can tell he holds the feminist view that trans-women (men) are MRA’s. Nonsense of course but feminist take every opportunity to associate MRA’s with Incels, the far right and any other group they think will tarnish the MRA community.

The last paragraph is very peculiar.
“.No, these cancellations are all the actions of a left that has swapped anti-fascism and feminism for anti-Semitism and men’s rights activism. ”
There has been no sign at all of feminism being abandoned, what has happened is a split and internicine war within feminism between those who think sex differences are socially constructed and therefore gender self- identifications are real and less delusional feminists who believe biological differences exist. The catalyst for the split was that women started to be negatively affected, hardly any feminists argued for the reality of sex differences until they saw men start to benefit from the idea they did not exist. Both sides of the argument he cares about are feminists.
The idea that there is widespread antisemitism is also nonsense. There is widespread criticism of Israel justified or not. All such criticism is categorised as anti-semitism something quite explicit in the IHRA definition of antisemitism. This is is to me the prototype of the feminists cry of misogyny whenever they hear something they don’t like. It’s a way of avoiding any discussion of the point being made and suppressing criticism.
It’s no surprise that someone such as Lineham who is a feminist would think this way. Those he disagrees with are not just wrong but malign – MRAs, leftists, anti semitic. It’s not about the evidence, it’s about dividing the world up into the good and virtuous (his tribe) and the evil (the others). He happens to be right about gender ideology (at least I think so) but the way he thinks is wrong and logic and evidence has little to do with it.

I have yet to see anyone be the least bit interested in “TRANs men” and their wicked adoption of the gender “man” to obtain “men’s” rights. Because of course there aren’t any! So Lineham’s view is in fact that “real women” have in fact special rights above those of real men. Which is of course the TERF position. The answer would surely be to ensure both sexes simply had the same rights, then according to the TERFs all would be well! But of course equal rights is not any part of the feminist project. In point of fact of course the trans lobby could be described as Womens Rights Activists (WRAs)as they do indeed aspire to enjoy the privileges accorded women.
Feminism’s very own mess.
