It’s nothing short of shameful that The Spectator should give a platform to Julie Bindel, one of the most men-hating radical feminists of her generation (and that’s a high bar). But then The Spectator has commissioned 50+ articles from the woman, and refused to permit us to pay for a full-page ad relating truths about domestic violence which have been known to researchers, and published, for DECADES. I’ve left a lengthy response to this matter on Ms Bindel’s Substack. It includes hyperlinks to ONS data showing that women are almost twice as likely to be abused by female partners than by male partners, and the most violent couples are lesbian couples. Hmm, why does Ms Bindel never write about female violence? Why does The Spectator never give a platform to people who could tell the truth about domestic violence? Justice for Men & Boys 
Well I did have a view, against my principles of not giving the “click” to la Bindel. Didn’t get far in. However having done so after viewing the Karen Straughan review vid. It did strike me ax a perfect example of what Karen Straughan was saying. The Male feminist clearly believing in both his saviour role and keen to demonstrate his chivalrous action to aid women. And in fact “denying” female agency by deciding all violence was men’s responsibility! In a context where our society is incredibly peaceful both in history and in comparison with contemporary societies. Even if the “two women a week” were true in terms of killings at 100 a year in a population of 66 millions it would be an unbelievably tiny number (in fact there have been about 5 to 6 hundred homicides each year of course mainly of men and still making it a very rare thing). One can’t help but think that the chivalrous have to hitch a ride on the Bindel train, when there is in fact very little need for white knights in reality.
