Sexism on ITV

Our thanks to Jonty biasontv@protonmail.com for this:
Hi Mike, Just a quick email to let you know about a couple of sexist programmes being shown by ITV at present that you might want to inform your followers about.  I have been complaining to ITV but I think I need a few more men to join me to get the message across because the depiction of men on television matters. The Real Full Monty is going to be shown on ITV tonight.  Yet again the male celebrities will be shown naked while the female celebs won’t.  Worse, ITV are presently showing series 5 of Love Island Australia.  Women on this show are treated with respect but male participants are shown naked while dressing, undressing or showering.  It is voyeuristic objectification just for the sake of it.  Can you imagine the outcry if it were the other way around? If any of your followers wish to complain to ITV the complaints email address is viewerservices@itv.com Should any of your followers wish to boycott the programmes’ sponsors, The Real Full Monty is sponsored by Furniture Village and Love Island Australia is sponsored by F&F at Tesco. Cheers, Jonty

  1. Oh, there’s been much worse than this over the years ! Showing the monitor footage of full uncensored strip searches of male inmates on ‘America’s Toughest Prisons’. Without consent ! And female sports journalists and camera crews allowed into men’s changing facilities. Again, in the U.S. , but still shown on UK television.

I have emailed my complaint .
