Laura Bates: “Northampton business sweeps big awards at International Cheese Awards 2023”

A piece by Laura Bates in the Northampton Chronicle & Echo, surely the only non-whiny article Special Snowflake has ever written. Remaining with the cheese theme, in 2015 we published a blog post, Laura Bates’s fiance should say this to her.

‘Cliteracy’: The ‘iceberg’ of female anatomy has as-yet hidden depths

A piece published yesterday by The Irish Times. An extract:
It is a part of the female body that has traditionally got short shrift in the study of anatomy. The so-called “father of anatomy”, Andreas Vesalius (1514-1564) called it “a new and useless part” after two of his students “found” it. In the first half of the 19th century, German anatomist Georg Ludwig Kobelt did provide accurate detailed descriptions of the organ and surrounding structures. Later in the 1800s and into the 20th century, surgical removal of the clitoris was promoted, with the backing of the British Medical Journal, as a treatment for so-called emotional disorders in women. [J4MB – “so-called”?

Protest at New Scotland Yard on Falsely Accused Day, 9 September

My thanks to Sean Bw Parker for alerting me to Saturday, 9 September, being Falsely Accused Day. The related website is here. The contents of the “About” page:
Falsely Accused Day has been put together by a number of individuals and support organisations in the UK who have joined to raise awareness of the scourge of False Accusations. The 9th of September was chosen to honor Simon Warr on, what would have been, his birthday. Simon was himself falsely accused of historical child abuse, and sadly passed away at the beginning of 2020. Simon’s experience was not unique and many thousands of people in the UK every year find themselves thrown into an alternate reality where they are required to prove historic allegations are false or risk facing being charged and the very real possibility of conviction for a crime they did not commit. It is our intention to raise public awareness about the failing justice system in the United Kingdom which is not only allowing, but encouraging false accusations.
I’ll be joining those meeting outside New Scotland Yard, London, at 2 p.m. that day. I invite you to join us.

Entitlement Princess Charlotte Proudman told to get off college lawn blames sexism

Our thanks to Mike P for this in yesterday’s Telegraph. An extract:
Dr Proudman’s Sunday night post on Twitter where she accused the student of “male entitlement” has been viewed more than two million times. She told The Telegraph: “When a photograph was taken of me on the lawn to mark this momentous occasion, a student shouted out to me that I would be ‘chucked out’ if I continued to stand on the grass, which ruined what was otherwise a warm homecoming experience. “I very much doubt the student would have spoken to an older white man standing on the lawn in the same way. It goes to show that young women are still perceived as not belonging in traditional academic institutions.
Let’s get this straight. In Ms Proudman’s warped brain, something she “doubts” becomes a reality which offends her delicate sensibilities. When feminists run out of things to be offended by, they invent them. Mike writes:
Another infantile display from the Look At Me!!! Queen. Incidentally, ‘Proudman’ is an anagram of: Dona Rump Maud Porn Dump Nora Round Pam And Rumpo Um Pardon Just saying…. —————————-
