  1. I haven’t seen it. However I suspect it is a perfect parable of our time! As Barbie land is a fantasy land literally peopled by plastic people whose lives are filled by fashion and parties and of course no one works at all! Also one in which the plastic people have “perfect” figures. The sun always shines and of course no one has children or grows up or ages. The Californian version of feminism. All of which is literally manufactured by the patriarchal “real world”. Feminism as a fantasy world completely cut off from reality. Spot on.
