Lydia Hutchinson, 27, jailed at Teesside Crown Court for ‘terrifying’ Hartlepool Tesco Express robbery where female shop assistant stabbed

In mitigation, it was said the stabbing injury was thankfully very modest and that it was Hutchinson’s first robbery. [J4MB: From earlier in the article, “Teesside Crown Court heard how Hutchinson, a known shoplifter at the Fens store…”].

Just two days ago, the security guard at a local store in my hometown of Bedford caught a woman trying to leave with some goods stolen from the store. They took her to a till where she duly paid for them, then she was allowed to leave.
