An interesting piece by David Craig for TCW.

  1. I noted that Dame Empty-Shelves narrowly headed off votes of no confidence from the “partners” (the worker in the company). Though maybe the Board are banking on the fact that “wokeness” seems to be particularly popular in the higher income brackets, specially the women. Perhaps the Dame may yet prove posh women’s devotion to virtue signaling means they are willing to put up with problems in the grocery supplies. It is ironic that locally the most “patriotic” stores are actually Lidl and Aldi. It seems the Germans recognise that the less affluent are keener on traditional values. Interesting to see if Waitrose/John Lewis prosper with their oh so woke leader. Of course the “Partners” are less impressed.
