  1. It appears she stabbed another man previously. And poor Tai was too embarrassed. Sadly his mother didn’t report her concerns. All fits with the evidence I’ve seen that a sizeable proportion of those reporting the abuse of men are female relatives. All evidence that boys and young men need to have some basic awareness. Which of course won’t happen while all education is “gendered” and even the statistics will label this murder as VAWG.
    The mother’s comment says much about the low expectations ” Mrs O’Donnell said: ‘I’d seen his stress. But I made the wrong assumption that it was just an average toxic relationship. There was nothing average about it. It was serious abuse. My son did not want to die.'”
    All too often young men simply accept an”average toxic relationship” is their lot, and no one has even suggested that they have a “right” not to be abused.
