Women’s rights have gone ‘too far’, survey finds

Our thanks to Jeff for this piece (video, 2:47) from Sky Australia. One of the comments, from ‘Mech Engineer’:

To pay for my engineering studies, I did hard labor during the summers at a cemetery doing landscaping and digging 6ft deep graves manually with a shovel. Once you hit 3ft, it became back breaking because you have to lift all that dirt out. At that point, you had to take turns being in the hole because it was absolutely exhausting and even worse when the humidex temperature hit 40 degrees C. I saw guys pass out on more than one occasion. The hardest part for the girls was rolling up the hose after watering plants. Both genders got the same pay and none of the guys ever complained.

  1. Sadly they should have complained. Not because I believe its “right” but because to do otherwise simply fuels the situation where “equality” simply means discrimination against men. “have their cake and eat it”. Not going to change while men alow it.
