A man can’t spend all his time challenging global feminism. He’d go mad.

To help me unwind, I’ve increasingly turned to photography over the past couple of years, my gallery is here. I’ve just added five images taken in the last 48 hours, and for now they’re the first five images, with captions underneath, as throughout the gallery. The first three were taken in Priory Country Park, a beautiful park near where I live, the other two in my back garden:

  • a moving plaque to the memory of Kevin David Severs (1956 – 2018). I didn’t know Kevin, but he was clearly a much-loved man
  • a grey heron
  • a bracket fungus on the side of a dead tree, the largest over 24″ across
  • a rosehip, taken with my new (well, ‘like new’, half price) Laowa 60mm macro lens
  • an unidentified plant with stamens resembling peanuts and seeded burger buns (Laowa lens)

A glowing testimonial for the Laowa lens by a leading (Swedish) macro photographer is here (video, 6:33).
