Suicide rate for men reaches its highest level in two decades

The Daily Mail has published an article with detailed statistics on suicide, including sex differences. The Office for National Statistics is quoted as saying “Generally, higher rates of suicide among middle-aged men in recent years might be because this group is more likely to be affected by economic adversity, alcoholism and isolation. It could also be that this group is less inclined to seek help.“ In the opinion of J4MB, discriminatory policies as well as the incessant #MeToo/#TimesUp misandry and witch hunts are unlikely to mitigate the pain that leads some men to complete suicide.
