Our thanks to HEqual for this. Predictably, none of the women received adequate punishment. The final one:
Sarah Parkinson
A violent woman punched her boyfriend five times in front of police before kicking an officer in the testicles and head-butting him on the leg.
Officers were called out to an address in Chaddesden following an incident that took place on October 12.
When they arrived, they saw 32-year-old Sarah Parkinson punching her partner, making contact five times.
Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court heard that as an officer tried to pull her off him, she kicked out with her leg straight into his privates – causing him “immense pain”. [J4MB emphasis]
The court heard the defendant was arrested and went on to use a racial slur against another officer.
Parkinson, of Shannon Square, Derby, pleaded guilty to one charge of assault by beating, one charge of assault by beating of an emergency worker and a racially aggravated public order offence.
Magistrates handed her a 26-week custodial sentence suspended for 12 months. [J4MB: In plain English, no punishment.]
She was then fined £100, told to complete 25 rehabilitation activity requirement days and handed a three-month curfew between 7pm and 7am.
She was then ordered to pay a £122 victim surcharge, £85 in court costs and £250 in compensation. This took her total to pay to £557.
