A quotation from Martin Luther King

A supporter emailed me this evening to ask if I had a spare copy of my book Buchanan’s Dictionary of Quotations for Right-Minded People (2010), used copies of which can be bought on Amazon’s UK website for a trifling £126.19. I have only one copy in my possession, and opened it at random to find this quotation from Martin Luther King on p.224, which seemed to me a useful message for MRAs worldwide:

Cowardice asks the question – is it safe?
Expediency asks the question – is it politic?
Vanity asks the question – is it popular?
But conscience asks the question – is it right?

And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular, but one must take it because it is right.
