BBC licence fee ‘overhaul’ is a damp squib

Once a Conservative MP and now a life peer, a baroness, Nicky Morgan is a former Secretary of State for Education (during which time she expressed no interest in the educational under-achievement of working-class boys) and Minister for Women and Equalities (during which time she expressed no interest in issues affecting men and boys) – both from 2014 until 2016; She is currently the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, and therefore in a pivotal role with the potential to bring the Bolshevik Broadcasting Corporation to account, and hopefully end the invidious licence fee, which is akin to having to buy a copy of The Guardian every time you buy your newspaper.

David Keighley is a former BBC news producer, BBC PR executive and head of corporate relations for TV-am. He is currently a director of News-watch, and the author of an interesting piece just published on TCW.
