My original announcement:

I’m pleased to announce J4MB will be hosting the first National Conference on Men’s Issues – as opposed to an international conference – to be held in the UK. It will be held at a premier venue in Manchester on Sunday, 17 May, 2020. Details here. The event title is Domestic abuse is a men’s issue, too. We’re delighted at the range of speakers. The keynote speaker will be Professor Nicola Graham-Kevan, whose work is well known to many J4MB supporters. William Collins will also be speaking, along with other speakers who are well-known or not so well-known to J4MB supporters.

I hope to see many of our supporters at the event. On the preceding evening, Saturday, 16 May, I’ll be in the venue’s bar along with William Collins, Elizabeth Hobson, Natty Raymond, Belinda Brown and Tom Caulfield (our Technical Director, who’ll be filming and editing the presentations). We look forward to meeting as many supporters as possible. With the exceptions of William and Belinda, we’ll also be in the bar on the evening of the event.

U.N. chief Antonio Guterres is a blithering idiot (part 2)

Our thanks to Mike P for pointing us to a piece on the U.N. website – here. Some extracts:

At the heart of the issue is power, as male-dominated power structures underpin everything from national economies, to political systems, to the corporate world and beyond.  But he pointed out that patriarchy also has an impact on men and boys, trapping them in rigid gender stereotypes, declaring that a systemic change is long overdue…

“The opportunity of man-made problems – and I choose these words deliberately – is that they have human-led solutions”, he said…

Last month marked the start of a Decade of Action to achieve the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) aimed at building peaceful, prosperous and inclusive societies while also safeguarding the planet.

The Decade of Action is aimed at transforming institutions and structures, broadening inclusion and driving sustainability.

“Repealing laws that discriminate against women and girls; increasing protection against violence; closing the gap in girls’ education and digital technology; guaranteeing full access to sexual and reproductive health services and rights, and ending the gender pay gap are just some of the areas we are targeting”, he said…

“Gender equality is a question of power; power that has been jealously guarded by men for millennia.  It is about an abuse of power that is damaging our communities, our economies, our environment, our relationships and our health”, said Mr. Guterres.

“We must urgently transform and redistribute power, if we are to safeguard our future and our planet. That is why all men should support women’s rights and gender equality. And that is why I am a proud feminist”.

U.N. chief Antonio Guterres is a blithering idiot (part 1)

A piece published yesterday by Breitbart, U.N. Chief Guterres Wants to ‘Urgently’ Redistribute Power and Fight ‘Gender Inequality’. Guterres wants to urgently redistribute power from the disadvantaged class (men) to the privileged class (women). The article:

U.N. chief Antonio Guterres on Thursday called for the world to “urgently redistribute power” so as to end gender inequality which he said “should shame us all in the 21st century because it is not only unacceptable, it is stupid.”

The head of the globalist body said discrimination against women and girls remained a major problem around the world and compared it past “stains” of slavery and colonialism.

“From the ridiculing of women as hysterical or hormonal, to the routine judgement of women based on their looks; from the myths and taboos that surround women’s natural bodily functions, to mansplaining and victim-blaming –- misogyny is everywhere,” he said at an event at The New School  in New York.

“It is time to stop trying to change women, and start changing the systems that prevent them from achieving their potential,” the UN head said.

“The 21st century must be the century of women’s equality.”

This is not the first time the U.N. has entered the debate on gender equality.

As Breitbart News reported, last December it placed strict gender quotas on a British Army peacekeeping deployment to Mali in west Africa, demanding more females be sent under the auspices of a special bureaucratic directive.

The call for more female UK soldiers to be included was part of a wider set of directives drafted by the U.N. that mandates strict quotas for female personnel in the name of equal opportunity.

Under Uniformed Gender Parity Strategy targets, 15 percent of military observers and staff officers must be women by the end of 2020, while the figure for female “boots on the ground” is 7.5 percent.

Election results 2019: Lib Dem leader Jo Swinson loses seat – BBC News

Our thanks to Ken for this (video, 2:51). He tells me that catching the result was one of the happiest moments of his life, as it was for so many of us. Some of the top comments:

Very difficult to be the prime minister if you can’t get elected to Parliament.

Lost to a woman so can’t even claim it was sexism.

Apparently she’s going to ignore the vote and stay on as a mp.

She dismissed 17.4 million votes as insignificant and ironically now loses her seat by just 149 votes.

I never thought in my wildest dreams that I would cheer the SNP. But getting this Harpy out of politics is a joy.

Actually, some people in Dunbartonshire East have died since they voted yesterday and some young people forgot to vote. In the name of democracy, we need a new vote, a people’s vote, in Dunbartonshire East!

This dreadful shouty shouty woman was hopelessly out of her depth good riddance.

Helen Lewis: Feminism’s Purity Wars (Erin Pizzey interview)

Helen Lewis, 36, is a feminist “journalist”. She was appointed Deputy Editor of the invariably Leftie and feminist-compliant New Statesman in 2012, at the age of 28. She is, of course, a frequent commentator on the BBC, and has written for The Guardian.

A few days ago The Atlantic (which endorsed Hilary Clinton as the Democratic presidential candidate in 2016) published a piece by Ms Lewis, following her recent interview of Erin Pizzey. Of course it’s a feminist propaganda piece from beginning to end, but still worth reading. I asked Erin if she had any comments to make on the piece, and she replied with this:

The only comment I can make is that I am mystified whenever I get castigated for supporting men.

Female lawyer gets £400,000 and half of £10m estate after she quit working to raise children

Our thanks to OvN for this. I cannot recall a case where a man “sacrificed his career” in order to look after children, because women won’t fund that option, being hypergamous by nature. Only women could take the easier and more emotionally rewarding option (raising children) and still expect to be compensated for rejecting the harder and less emotionally rewarding option (paid employment) by the person taking the harder option… not to mention stealing half that person’s estate, to the tune of £5,000,000.

Never forget, especially on this, the day women have traditionally proposed marriage to men, Men shouldn’t marry.

29 February – the day, above all days, when men must say “No” to women

Today’s date, February 29, is one on which women are traditionally permitted by the Patriarchy (TM) to propose marriage to their (male) partners. The best plan is for men in relationships with women, but not married, to make themselves scarce for the day. On no account should they meet or communicate with their significant others.

But what of the unfortunate men who cannot escape contact with the special women in their lives? They must at all costs remember Paul Elam’s point about a measure of a man’s mental health being his willingness to say “No” to women. So the conversation might go like this:

She: “Darling, we’ve been dating for many years, isn’t it time we got married?”

He: “I’m sorry, toots, I haven’t caught the news yet today. Did hell freeze over?”

Absent fathers are fuelling knife crime in Britain, warns police chief as she says youths are turning to drug dealers for role models

Our thanks to Mike P for this. Cressida Dick, Metropolitcan Police Commissioner, has made similar comments. And what is the response of our “Conservative” government? To carry on with “progressive” policies which enable mothers to remove fathers from their children’s lives.

Chloe Newbold, Cambridge student – J4MB are misogynistic rape apologists

Just back from India, my thanks to J (a female Cambridge University student) for notifying me of a silly opinion piece – All we are asking for is to feel safe – written by one Chloe Newbold, a particularly gormless feminist, published today in Varsity, an online equivalent of cat litter liner. Regular followers of this blog will be aware of the role played by Varsity in trying to stoke up hostility towards us in advance of the talks by Elizabeth Hobson and myself at Cambridge University last year. We know the names of the two feminists (one male, one female) who threw milkshakes over us, as well as the photographer, but we’ve declined to name them publicly. Our blog posts in relation to the talks, and the campaign of lies and misrepresentations that sought (but failed) to deny us a platform, are here.

The start of Ms Newbold’s piece (I’ve hyperlinked three items, since she didn’t):

It’s hard to explain the all-pervading discomfort I experience as a victim of sexual misconduct [J4MB: Almost every feminist activist claims to have been a victim of sexual misconduct] in my everyday life at this University: sitting in lecture halls that have been open to misogynistic rape apologists such as Justice for Men and Boys (otherwise known as ‘J4MB’, who have shared posts including 13 reasons why women lie about being raped and a video The glorius (sic) rise of men who won’t date feminists on their website).

Later in the piece:

It is difficult to explain the personal trauma associated with an act of sexual assault, a feeling that you do not belong in your body, a permanent sense of threat that can be difficult to shake. It’s a feeling that can return frequently, even in the absence of any immediate danger or physical threat. This feeling returned for many of us last year when we discovered that the University was allowing an event to be held by a so-called men’s rights group entitled ‘Justice for Men and Boys’ on University property. Failing to listen to us wasn’t enough, they were now providing a platform to a group that openly expressed contempt and ridicule toward women and non-binary people that had suffered sexual assault. [J4MB: We invite Ms Newbold to provide evidence for her claims in the final sentence. They’re lies, so she won’t be able to.]

Nothing was more symbolic of the University’s attitude than standing outside with my fellow protestors [J4MB: Ms Newbold reveals herself to be a member of the Cambridge University Noisy Twats Society] while this group of vile rape apologists were sat warmly inside Mill Lane lecture halls. In that moment, campus became for me what I am sure it had become for many other victims: a place where I no longer felt safe. [J4MB: Ironically, the only people assaulted that day – by the protesting students – were a man unconnected with J4MB who had come to listen to our talks, and his 16-year-old son.]

Justice closes its eyes to BBC bias

Disappointing news in a piece by Kathy Gyngell published today by TCW. In 2014 we posted a piece concerning a complaint we made to the BBC, detailing 50+ breaches of BBC guidelines in a single piece on Newsnight about domestic violence. The complaint was unsuccessful.
