Our thanks to Mike P for this. An extract, making clear who the “victims” of “workplace sexual harassment” are:
Sexual harassment offences can include ‘suggestive looks, staring or leering’ as well as intrusive questions about a person’s sex life.
There were also warnings against spreading sexual rumours and unwelcome hugging, massaging, kissing and touching…
Mrs Hilsenrath said that the burden to challenge harassment had been on the victim, rather than the employer, for too long.
She wrote: ‘Recent high-profile cases have shone an important light on the continued harassment many women [J4MB emphasis] face in the workplace and showed that we still need to do more to modernise working cultures.’
The lessons for men in organizations are clear:
- don’t hire women;
- don’t promote women;
- apply the Pence Rules. Never be alone (in a room, a lift…) with a woman, never touch a woman.
