Our thanks to David for this:
The judgement in this case of parental alienation of 11 and 10 year old children is important. It was delivered at the start of this year, but only published recently. It is rare that we get to know what happened next… unless it’s bad news i.e. it’s come back for an appeal of something. In this case HHJ Bedford was sitting as a Judge of the High Court and the judgement was delivered prior to a final hearing in September. He published a postscript to the January judgement stating:
“I have delayed the publication of this judgment pending a final hearing which took place on 27 September 2019. The children have, since 30 January 2019 enjoyed equal time with their Father, and their Mother, as per my order. I am satisfied the suspended residence order which I made has enabled the children to rebuild their relationships with their Father and paternal families and has provided the encouragement for the Mother to work with my Order. My final Order endorsed the continuation of the children spending their time equally in the care of their Mother and their Father and I have extended the suspended residence order for a further 6 months to prioritise the welfare of these two children and maximise their opportunities of growing up with a healthy relationship with both parents.”
