Elizabeth and I are looking forward to attending this, a Spectator event. We saw Douglas Murray at another Spectator event, two months ago, when he was in discussion with the conservative philosopher Sir Roger Scruton. They fantasised about founding a new university, in which there would be no gender studies courses. An enjoyable and entertaining evening.
We’re looking forward to the publication of Murray’s next book, The Madness of Crowds: Gender, Race and Identity. It’s scheduled for publication 17 September, signed copies will hopefully be available at the forthcoming event (they usually are, at Spectator events).
Lionel Shriver is an American authoress. Last October we linked to her piece in The Spectator, Men should be angrier about #MeToo.
