Having failed to stop our forthcoming talks with false allegations of harassment and threatening behaviour, Cambridge feminists are now making false allegations about misogyny and hate speech, which will come as no surprise to J4MB supporters, or all the women who are organizing, speaking, and otherwise attending the forthcoming Chicago International Conference on Men’s Issues, the fifth in the series. A woeful new piece in Varsity, the student newspaper, is here. The final paragraph:

The misogyny that J4MB represents should not be legitimised as a topic that our freedom of expression enables us to engage with. The University’s Statement on Freedom of Speech states that events which “pose a genuine risk to the welfare” will not be platformed. Ultimately, the duty of the University lies with its students: controversial hate speech should not be housed here, of all places. J4MB represent more than the ‘imminent threats to [students’] preconceived ideas’ that Elizabeth Hobbs, [J4MB: Hobson] its Director of Communications suggests. The aggression they have exhibited online [J4MB: What aggession?] represents a very real risk to students’ welfare. In allowing their presence on campus, the University fails to support its female identifying student body. This endorsement of misogyny in exchange for this brand of free speech is a price too steep to pay.
