This morning I posted a piece with some information on Jonny “Itch” Fox, lead vocalist with The King Blues. Our interest in Jonny stems from his appearance in a forthcoming documentary about male victims of domestic violence, From the Darkness.
John James is the key man behind the documentary, and his £500 crowdfunder is here. Launched two days ago, £210 has already been donated by five good people. The published “story”:
I am producing a documentary to bring awareness to male victims of domestic violence. The documentary is being shot both here in the UK (England and Scotland) and also in the US and will include interviews with victims of abuse as well as talking to organisations that support victims of abuse. Our first interviewee was international singer iTCH of the band The King Blues.
Donors will be rewarded with a credit at the end of the documentary for their contribution and will get to see the 2 hour special before anyone else.
If you click on the “Updates” tab you’ll find an extract (1:20) from John James’s interview with Jonny.
Filming in the UK is being carried out by Anthony J Corniche III – Tom – the estimable man behind the filming and editing of the presentations at the last three ICMIs. He’s asked me to point out that this documentary is an example of ICMI funders’ work being continued, as promised.
Tom will be filming and editing the presentations at the Chicago conference (August 16-18). I’m reliably informed tickets are selling like hot cakes, so if you plan to go, don;t delay ordering your ticket(s). Tom’s crowdfunder for Chicago has reached £910, the target is £1,500.
John and Tom are doing very important work. Please donate to both crowdfunders, what you can afford. Thank you.
