William Collins and I are much looking forward to giving talks at the University of Winchester on Friday, 1 March, details here.
Our thanks to a female student (who asks to remain nameless) at the university for emailing me a link to a petition, launched today, which is aimed at “no platforming” William and myself – here. The petitioner failed to mention our Lying Feminist of the Month awards, for some reason. The start of the second paragraph:
While feminism welcomes men and discusses men’s issues, this group is not inclusive or concerned with equality for all.
So, feminists discuss men’s issues do they? How about the following men’s issues, explored in our last election manifesto? The answer is a firm “No” in every case:
Male Genital Mutilation
Fatherlessness
Education
Employment
Access to children after family breakdowns
Domestic violence
Sexual abuse
Armed Forces veterans’ mental health issues
Homelessness
Suicide
Criminal justice system
Paternity fraud
Anonymity for suspected sexual offenders
Divorce settlements
Healthcare provision
State interference in company director appointments
Expectation of retirement years
Launched seven hours ago, the survey has already attracted 350+ signatories. Do check out the comments stream which (predictably) reflects a profound lack of knowledge about men’s issues in general, and about J4MB in particular. The young lady says she’s highly supportive of our campaigning for the human rights of men and boys, and looks forward to attending our talks.
