Has the disgusting Labour MP for Birmingham Yardley ever sunk lower?
Around 90% of rough sleepers are men. A homeless man died yesterday evening, close to the Houses of Parliament, and Jess Phillips took the opportunity to exploits the poor man’s death for ideological purposes. A piece published online by the Evening Standard – why in God’s name would they quote Jess Phillips on a matter such as this? – a few hours ago, the relevant extract:
Jess Phillips, the MP for Birmingham Yardley, said a shrine had been set up outside Parliament: “Homeless man died outside Parliament last night according to the homeless women I just spoke to. [J4MB emphasis] They’ve set up a memorial outside the door of parliament to the tube where they live.”
I very much doubt Phillips spoke to any homeless women, but if she did, it only begs the question of why she hadn’t spoken to the homeless men in the vicinity, of whom there would have been many more. The woman is incapable of even pretending to give a damn about male suffering. She’s a disgrace, and should be booted off the Women & Equalities Committee.
