Yesterday the state pension raised to 65 for women – prompting a reinvigorated concern about the gender pension gap.
With women earning less in their lifetimes and being less likely to invest in a private pension, the average man receiving the state pension is likely to receive 39.5% more than the average woman receiving the state pension.
