Joanna Williams argues that the campaign is “no longer about what a man has done but about how a woman feels” – and that it’s counterproductive. I struggle to recall the moment that #MeToo was simply about “what a man has done”. #MeToo has always been primarily about how (histrionically prudish) women feel – with a shield provided by women complaining about ‘what a man has done’ – and an underbelly of entirely false allegations.
