We’re aware that most of our followers are not Times subscribers. The paper’s subscription offers range from the digital pack, £1.00 per week for 8 weeks, thereafter £26.00 pcm, to “The Classic 7 Day Pack”, which I enjoy, £34.67 pcm. The latter includes access to the digital edition of the papers, many if not all of the articles being posted at 00:01.
Non-subscribers may be unaware of the domination of comments streams following MGM articles, by those putting forward intactivist arguments. The latest example was a piece by Nicholas Hellen in the last Sunday Times, the 8 April edition. Before you click on the link to the comment stream in PDF format, it’s worth you understanding the following:
I caught the piece early in the day online, hence was able to “seed” the comments stream with some comments, including linking to four pieces by William Collins (the hyperlinks in the PDF work). My first contribution is highlighted in yellow, on pp. 2,3. I left plenty of other comments during the day, which took up much of my Sunday. Because that’s how we roll, at J4MB. Weekends, holidays, and sleep are for wimps.
The comments count has stood at a suspiciously round 200 for some days. Can a Times subscriber (or a no-subscriber who hasn’t yet used up his/her non-subscriber allowance) please go online and seek to add another, see if it’s published, and let us know ([email protected])? Thanks.
I’ve ordered the comments in “most recommended” order, rather than “newest”. The number of recommendations are at the start of the line following the comment, e.g. the most recommended comment is from “Thecaveartist”, on the following line you’ll see “91Recommended”.
The PDF of the comments stream is here.
