Minutes of meetings by the review group show some members wanted colleges to organise tours of exam halls. There were also suspicions that some students applying late for ‘exam adjustments’ were ‘working the system’. It recommended more coursework to cut down on the pressure of three-hour tests, and that degree classification should not be based only on final-year exams. This generation are more trouble than they are worth. By all accounts the generation below them, the children of austerity, are very different – sober, hard working, traditional values etc as they realise they WILL be worse off than their parents.
We’ve lost generations before, through war, plague, famine and so forth – maybe we in our 40s-60s need to accept we have to work on to exclude Snowflake from positions of power. Write off the majority of a generation.
