  1. The breakthroughs made by female scientists, engineers and academics in 2017 have been overlooked in favour of celebrating women as victims.

    What a strange claim to make. Firstly, we cannot be sure that a woman’s ‘breakthrough’ is not due more to quota requirements than her own abilities and experience. Secondly, why should something as mundane as professional success, of importance to the individual but not in a much wider social context, even when the individual possesses a gilded vagina, be accorded more attention than a woman’s ability to destroy a man simply by making a false accusation unchallenged and with no risk of reprisal if her lie is discovered.

    But the truth is that women today are better qualified than men … ‘

    If by ‘better qualified’ she means that below a certain age, whatever that is, more women have degrees than men, and that a degree in women’s studies is worth as much as one in any STEM subject then I’d agree with the authoress. However, if she means ability not just to do things that are of value to the rest of us and to them to a consistently high standard, year after year for decades, I’d say dream on madam.
