They are not literally stupid, and so attack at the weakest point, who wouldn’t.
So the answer is to develop and deploy different methods.
I suggest sarcasm, reductio ad absurdum, mockery and unflattering comparison as likely to be effective.
Of all the ideas put forward in that discussion that may have been the most insightful. I think we all knew it but I certainly have never articulated it or put in words that well. The end of the discussion was revealing as well, Paglia’s feminist-social justice background started to show through. Overall a very interesting discussion between two interesting intellects. Well worth the time and energy to watch.
This is a risky view that does not take account of the feminisation of society. Faced with conflict a growing number of men take to being the victim even if they provoked the aggression.
