My fiancee cheated… then left me ruined: In his own words, the Cambridge lecturer cleared of attacking unfaithful girlfriend tells of the shattering ordeal that left him ‘shunned like a leper’

This case is simply ‘he said, she said’ and we cannot know the truth of the allegations. However, there were warning signs that he should have seen and his comments about the matter are what I find most significant:
‘Three days later, at 5am, there was a knock on Matt’s door. ‘At first I thought it was a drunk – we get them sometimes. But the two uniformed police officers quickly disabused me of that notion. I was shocked, but not overly concerned as I knew I was innocent. But it was humiliating to be handcuffed and pushed into the police riot van.’
He was made to wait 16 hours before the interview took place – and it was then that Matt realised he was in a potentially very serious situation. The police showed him photographs of damage to Sophia’s car radio and also a mobile phone which she claimed he had caused – although he told the court he was not responsible for the extent of the damage later seen.
…
Despite what has happened, Matt has no criticism for the police or the legal system.
‘I think it’s right to protect those who have been victimised,’ he said. ‘If my suffering is the price to be paid for even one person being saved by intervention, then I accept it.‘
‘The Police’ assume his guilt on nothing more than an allegation that is later rejected by magistrates and, in a matter that is not so serious as to involve a court higher than the magistrates’ court, behave like the Gestapo, and he he is prepared to accept their behaviour because he thinks it is ‘right to protect those who have been victimised’ even though the magistrates decided that he was the victim. Given his simpering response and the comments of his female tutor I think we can reasonably describe Matt as a mangina; a typical male product of a feminised education system. Compare Matt’s supine acceptance of the injustice he has suffered to Mark Pearson’s determination to pursue those who acted against him.
It is in fact a curiously “patriarchal” attitude. Placing the needs of fragile females way above ones own is recognisable in the high Victorian ideals of the romantic hero and steadfast man. In a sense the deep socialisation to infantilise women is alive and well, as much in modern feminism as the most overblown Victorian romantic novel. “Benign sexism”. Matt in a sense is a nineteenth century gent protecting the fair sex by accepting draconian unfair treatment for himself and his “brothers”. Mark is in fact a revolutionary in every sense of the word.
Just one more horror story. What amazes me is that so many of these men display no anger at the system and women that have betrayed and abused them. Time after time after time.
Deep within our socialisation (and I think it is socialisation because one finds the view of women quite different in the medieval or even enlightenment periods) is the fairer sex belief. One sees all the time exactly the high Victorian beatification of women simply shorn of its Christian language. It is a deeply revolutionary act still to think, let alone treat, women as fully equal people. In a sense very little has actually changed for men, they still support and protect females to the extent of their own sacrifice, its just the ways have multiplied and much of the reinforcing praise has gone. After all the Danish Football team has just donated its wages to the striking female national team in just such a patronising gesture.
Men need to be better educated about how the justice system is being abuse by women like Sophia. No man should have to be collateral damage.
It’s only going to get worse because women are day-by-day being educated by their ‘privileges’ in the legal system and will use them more and more often to exact revenge.
“The Crown Prosecution Service has published its first ever public
statement recognising the needs and experiences of male victims of
offences including rape, domestic abuse, harassment, stalking and child
sexual abuse.
Many male victims of these crimes never come forward to report
them to the police. This can be for a variety of reasons, including fear
that their masculinity may appear to be diminished if they report
domestic abuse or that homophobic assumptions will be made around their
sexuality if they are raped by a man.
The CPS has always been committed to securing justice for all
victims, both male and female, and applies policies fairly and equally.
It has worked with groups which represent the interests of male victims
to explore the issues they face in relation to these offences.”
..so I’m not holding my breath that this lecturer will receive justice..

Male feminists, they never learn. No wonder his woman felt she could play princess with the wedding, fuck about, then try and ruin his life. What a moron.

Totally agree. This case in which a Judge appears to have been just rather than nice is almost a one off I,m sure.

Sadly, a great many more vicious injustices are going to be necessary before the average man wakes from his gynophile traditionalist slumber.
