Kathy Gyngell: Policing Twitter returns us to the dark ages

An excellent piece on TCW. I do wish the site would put up a box for people to enter their email addresses, in order to get automatic notifications of new pieces as they’re published. There’s so much terrific material published by the site, it’s easy to miss pieces.

If everyone who read this gave us just £1 – or even better, £1 monthly – we could change the world. Click here to make a difference. Thanks.

  1. Quote:
” ….This is not just totalitarianism in action but a recipe for ever angrier and more resentful behaviour….”

She knows it, and that’s what she wants.
    That’s because she’s a practicing Cultural Marxist.
    It’s quite simple.

  2. The problem will be defining what hate speech is. Personally I would welcome a law which made it easy to prosecute people who throw insults about in public places like Twitter – destroying reputations by false claims and calling people fools just for the hell of it and without any supporting evidence, let alone those who make threats.
However the devil is the detail. Should the feminist be prosecuted for lying about the differences between the sexes or would they be able to prosecute those of us who publish “unfortunate” truths. E.g a smaller proportion of women than men will have the ability to be top scientists for biological or genetic reasons – a view am;y supported by data..
