No surprise really, I could argue woman raised by a single mother aches for her father.
I noted that she states dad was not a great guy and didn’t bother coming around anymore. where have we all heard that before?
I would have believed that years ago until my own experience when most of us estranged parents are not ” didn’t bother coming around anymore” rather that we are obstructed from “bothering to come around anymore”.
if her “step mum” was so great then why didn’t make an effort to help the “step daughter” keep her relationship with her father?
maybe because like so many of women we hear about in similar situations, they want a clean slate and the father out of the picture in order to control and punish the other party.
If I were her step father i would be busting and arm and leg to keep that child going with a relationship with their biological parents because that’s what being a good parent is about.
