Bobby Smith, fathers’ rights campaigner, to stand against Theresa May at the general election

Good news. Bobby Smith is a doughty and persistent fathers’ rights campaigner with New Father4Justice, and challenged David Cameron at the 2015 general election. We hope he’ll get the media coverage he deserves in Maidenhead.

The comments stream opens again on the Mail on Sunday piece on Dr Balvinder Mehat

Our thanks to Tim for informing us the comments stream on the piece is once again open. Please take this very rare opportunity to comment (or at least vote on others’ comments) on a piece on MGM in the mainstream media. Thanks.

Misogyny as a hate crime – the madness spreads from Nottinghamshire to North Yorkshire

Our thanks to John for this. Examples of issues that North Yorkshire police will regard as a misogynistic hate crime, from today, include:

– unwanted or uninvited sexual advances [men must be psychic and know if their sexual advances will be wanted or not, and all sexual advances must now be ‘invited’ by women]
– physical or verbal assault [men must never be cross at women, or shout at them]
– unwanted or uninvited physical or verbal contact or engagement [men must be psychic and know if women want to be touched or talked to by them, and they must neither talk nor touch women without being invited to do so]
– sexually graphic and explicit obscene language
– use of mobile devices to send unwanted or uninvited messages or take photographs without consent of permission [men must be psychic and know whether women will want their text messages, and they must not text women without being invited to do so]

The final paragraph in the piece cites the female Police & Crime Commissioner for the area, who is – needless to say – in agreement with the move.

In 2013 I published a piece, The next feminist campaign? Men should wear ‘blinkers’. We’re rapidly heading in that direction.

John writes:

The good news is that their announcement of the new policy on Youtube is getting ripped to shreds, currently over 158 downvotes and 5 in support, perhaps your readers can improve that further still – here.

Public support for the prosecution of Dr Balvinder Mehat, Known Genital Mutilator, over MGM

Late last night we linked to a Mail on Sunday online piece concerning the forthcoming prosecution of Nottingham-based Dr Balvinder Mehat, one of AVfM’s Known Genital Mutilators – here – for allegedly performing MGM on a young boy without obtaining his mother’s consent.

The paper took the unusual step of not publishing further comments after just 32 were published, an hour or two after online publication. However the voting functionality appears still to be operating, as we can see from the remarkably high number of votes for comments supporting the prosecution, and votes against comments supporting MGM, or the doctor, or the father and/or his apologists – here.

Dr Balvinder Mehat case could open floodgates for a new wave of ‘male genital mutilation’ complaints

An important piece which will appear in tomorrow’s Mail on Sunday. Please submit some comments, as I have, hopefully including a reference to MGM being our #1 campaigning issue, in part because it’s illegal under the Offences Against the Person Act 1861. This is a very rare opportunity to make some noise about MGM in a mainstream media publication. Thanks.

Stretch target for Anthony Corniche’s fundraiser

Following some very generous recent donations, Anthony Corniche’s fundraiser has passed its £2,000 target, and someone has asked him if there’s a stretch target. He’s posted this:

There are some amazing people out there & I admit to being a little chocked up. A strange mixture of faith in others & absolute relief.

I’ve been asked about stretch goals & although I personally consider job done my partner has pointed out a few things.

1. £2000 is really £1842 with the 7.9% take from Gofundme.

2. If we could take an extra 10kg case we could offer a better class of video & thus more pro result.

Emirates charge £477 for extra 10kg case.

Thus 7.9% shortfall on £2k (£158) and on the £477 (£37) gives a total of £2672.

If this is reached and exceeded I will ask J4MB & AVfM to roll funds over to Video for ICMI18.

Either way this video is going ahead regardless.

Again thank you so much for donating your hard earned cash. I will do my best to honour your investment.

Help spread the word!

Barry Wright, thank you

Followers of this blog will recall that Barry Wright, a Norwich-based man (above, with Cassie Jaye) financed two screenings of The Red Pill, and paid for the travel and hotel accommodation for a number of people including Paul Elam, Cassie Jaye, Erin Pizzey, and Dr Randomercam. We had a wonderful couple of days in his company.

We presented Barry with a Winston award in recognition of his contribution to the cause. He’s just made another contribution, donating £750 towards Anthony Corniche’s fundraiser, so now Anthony has the funds he needs to travel to Australia and film all the presentations, and the press conferences.

Barry, thank you. You’re a star.

EJ Dickson, agnostic woman with an agnostic husband, has no regrets over having her 8-day-old baby son’s genitals mutilated to satisfy her ‘tight-knit Jewish family’, and for ‘political reasons’

Our thanks to Patrick for a link to an appalling article by New York based EJ Dickson titled, I Circumcised My Son, & I Don’t Regret It One Bit. It appears not to have occurred to her that he might come to regret the mutilation of his genitals in the name of a religion he may well decide not to follow. Extracts:

Although my husband and I are agnostic, I belong to a tight-knit Jewish family, and had it not been immensely important to them that my child have a b’rit milah (the Hebrew term for the ancient rite), we probably would not have done it at all…

In an ideal world, I would want my son to be able to travel anywhere in the world and feel safe and protected. But the list of countries that are actively trying to make him and other Jews feel otherwise is getting longer and longer. So in the absence of tolerance and acceptance, I want him to practice resistance, just by virtue of never forgetting who he is and where he comes from. I didn’t circumcise him for religious or even hygienic reasons, but for overtly political ones. [my emphasis]
