I’ve just had a call from a lady supporter to say she heard an interview of Germaine Greer on BBC radio this morning, and she assumed I’d heard about it. I hadn’t – surprisingly, with hindsight.
Ms Greer apparently admitted that the central thesis of The Female Eunuch (1970) – that most men are misogynists – was a fabrication, a lie. She went on to say she’d been utterly amazed when it was widely believed and became influential, and went on to say something along the lines of, ‘It’s self-evident that most women hate men as a class, and of course all feminists do, it’s one of their defining characteristics’.
It’s been 45 years since the damnable book was published, but we tip the hat to Ms Greer for finally admitting the truth. Better late than never.
If everyone who read this gave us just £1 – or even better, £1 monthly – we could change the world. Click here to make a difference. Thanks.

Time to oust her from the sisterhood? Don’t know which one as they can’t agree on anything.

Sometimes I listen to Germaine Greer and think, ‘How were you ever a feminist?’ She really does talk sense at times. Her view on so-called transsexuals was simply correct and truthful, which is why the progressive left disowned her. (Can’t tell the truth, can we?)

I think people become more sensible and right wing with age. Germaine Greer definitely falls into this category these days.

I don’t know whether “more sensible and right wing” is is quite how I’d put it.
What about ‘more sensible and less left wing’?

I always thought that, but recently I’ve had doubts when seeing all the elderly British people protesting Brexit and weeping and lighting candles after the Westminster attack.

Women never lie, so we can’t believe her lie about a lie.

If men were misogynists, it would be virtually impossible for women to be able to be in military combat units, for women to in the fire fighting brigades, etc. In other words, the only reason women can get away with getting into positions for which they are clearly second best is because men are the opposite of misogynists – they are gentlemen.
Now that is not necessarily a good thing either.

This is major, groundbreaking news. We need a recording of this interview. Actual evidence. Then to spread it far and wide. This is the smoking gun, because its not just MRAs saying it. Its a feminist saying it. The most influential feminist saying it. The feminist who wrote the book that all the other feminists got their beliefs from saying it.

Greer was clearly always intelectually pretty bright.
But That Is Not Enough on it’s own.
It has to be mixed in with experience, knowledge and, crucially, understanding.
These things usually come come with time, to a greater or lesser extent, so I’m inclined towards the view that her earlier work is bound to be the product of an enfant terrible.
That doesn”t mean I can ever forgive her idiotic assertion that “womens liberation if it abolishes the patriarchal family etc…….and once that withers away Marx will have come true anyway, so let’s get on with it.”
