Chuck Berry RIP (and a cartoon of Nicola Sturgeon)

I was saddened to learn of the death of Chuck Berry, at the age of 90, two days ago. A deeply influential figure, he wrote and was the first to record one of my favourite rock-and-roll songs, Johnny B. Goode.

Berry’s demise inspired a cartoonist at The Times to create a cartoon featuring Nicola Sturgeon as a lead guitarist, in today’s edition. The piece is titled Jock and Roll! You will note her band’s name on a large drum, ‘Chuck Britain’.

About Mike Buchanan

I'm a men's human rights advocate, writer, and publisher. My primary focus is leading the political party I launched in 2013, Justice for Men & Boys (and the women who love them). I still work actively on two campaigns I launched in early 2012, Campaign for Merit in Business and the Anti-Feminism League. In 2014 I launched The Alternative Sexism Project, aiming to raise public understanding that the sexism faced by men and boys has far more grievous consequences than the sexism faced by women and girls.

Keep it to Men and Boys Mike
    Dont bring in Scottish Independence!

Thanks TT. We have never commented publicly on Scottish independence, although it’s an issue that interests me greatly and I’m half Scottish (on my late father’s side). I just thought it was a funny cartoon. Although The Sturgeon is unquestionably a hatchet-faced toxic feminist control freak, prone to passive aggression. One of her first actions on becoming First Minister was to appoint a gender-balanced cabinet.

    Likewise.
My favourite was Promised Land, I love the way it moves right along.

I expect you noticed Nicola Gudgeons’ guitar is unplugged – a nice analogy I take it, for the fact that her noise is going nowhere.
Still, it can’t be easy to build a career on the back of manufactured nothing…

I’m embarrassed to be Scottish when I listen to the nonsense from the SNP. Devolved government was a terrible idea. It wouldn’t surprise me if the EU was behind it somehow. They love to weaken nations.

  • Yet again I have to pick you up. The cartoon fails because there isn’t a woman on the planet who has a dingaling and precious few who know how to play with one. The Widow Krankie is certainly not numbered amongst those few women to whom so much is owed, and freely given, by so many.
