A female judge’s warning that drunk women are putting themselves at greater risk of rape was “victim-blaming”, a police commissioner has said.
Judge Lindsey Kushner QC said women were entitled to “drink themselves into the ground” but their “disinhibited behaviour” could put them in danger.
The remarks would stop victims speaking out, Toxic Feminist of the Month Northumbria PCC Vera Baird said.
But the judge said she did not think it was wrong for a judge “to beg women to take actions to protect themselves”.
Francis Fitzgibbon, Criminal Bar Association chairman, said it was “sensible” for women “to be educated to know there are predatory men out there”.

Sorry, but Her Honour is spot on. It isn’t “victim blaming” it’s stating facts. By virtue of the fact she is of an age to be a judge, she’s old enough to be sensible.

Thing is, most men who end up in drunken situations with women aren’t targeting them because they’re drunk. They end up in sexual situations because men and women go out on the pull using booze as a social lubricant.

Right so the person who has only been a barrister has more experience than a judge right ?
if vera baird doesn’t like it then she should go and be a judge, oh wait she doesn’t have the credentials to act a neutral party.

seems contradictory to her general malaise that women at victims and men are perpetrators.

i’m looking to do some interviews with them to pass on my experiences and they have told me they are keen to interview male victims of DV.
