Laura Bates: No feminist expects a man to pay the bill on a date

Our thanks to Martin for pointing us to the latest piece by Special Snowflake in the International Business Times. She nominates herself for a Gormless Feminist of the Month award for this alone:

Feminists would much rather equal workplace rights [such as…?] and a closed gender pay gap (with flexible working hours and affordable childcare while we’re on the subject) to allow us the means to pay for our own meal, thank you very much. In the grand scheme of things, all that seems somewhat more substantial than a sneaky free steak every once in a while.

Meanwhile, some women might choose to pay the full bill on a first date…

Yeah, and some pigs – feminist, or otherwise – might choose to fly.

  1. What I find so ironic about these ‘equal pay’ feminists is their spectacular lack of where the money to pay for affordable day care and other benefits would actually come from.

  2. “Men’s rights activists must wake up and realize that the time for trying to counter the hypocrisy with rationality – with essentially male arguments, using facts and truth, in the hope that sense will prevail – is not going to make any difference to the relentless feminist long march on men” -Herbert Purdy ICMI-16 https://youtu.be/PjAnRar9p4M
