  1. William is right (he often is you know..) eternal vigilance IS the price of freedom and always has been since those who want POWER will always attack freedom.

    However, many people feel swamped by other problems they have, or hope someone else will deal with it, or that it will just go away - who wants to go to war if it can be avoided?
    

    This situation can be summed as ‘people don’t care about something until it affects then personally’, which is understandable if not always advisable.

  2. Searchlight, or rather Gerry Gable, again. ‘Anti-fascists’ are a pretty unpleasant breed, too inclined to brick throwing and back stabbing, who never miss a chance to harm someone on some pretext and of no social value whatsoever.

    Their influence on ‘British’ politicians of all political stripes is deeply disturbing.
