2016 has been a remarkable year for those with an interest in men’s and boys’ human rights. Who could have predicted at the start of the year, that a sympathetic MP – the heroic Philip Davies – would be elected to the Women’s and Equalities Committee? That really was the icing on the cake.
It gives me pleasure to present my first Christmas speech, the audio file (12:18) is on our YouTube channel, here.
The transcript of my speech takes up the first four pages of this document. The remaining 10 pages consist of a review of 2016, through a selection of the year’s blog posts, which you can access by clicking on the hyperlinks.

Fantastic summary Mike, the only obvious omission is the lack of a mention of domestic abuser Sarah Champion who is Labour’s shadow equalities Minister and was in charge of preventing domestic violence too! Her attempts to excuse her abuse were pathetic, but the most significant part of the story was not just the expected silence from many feminists, but the astonishing support she received from so many of her them – we now have proof of those feminists supporting an abuser. It was by far the most significant story for September IMO: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3806018/Ex-husband-Labour-s-domestic-abuse-Minister-nightmares-attack-divorce.html
Personally I would also have mentioned the prosecution of Alexander Economou for “harassment” by the CPS for attempting to stop people falsely smearing him as a rapist.
One story most people missed during all the recent Philip Davies news was the US passing a bill protecting those who support MGM: http://www.patheos.com/blogs/progressivesecularhumanist/2016/12/congress-passes-bill-protecting-atheists-humanists-freethinkers/
