Our thanks to Tom for this. If you haven’t already signed the online petition on the matter, you can do so here. It has attracted almost 1,900 signatures in just a day or two. If you have a few seconds more, then please join me in awarding Palace Cinemas a 1-star rating on their Facebook page, and maybe leave a comment too, for good measure. Thanks.
If everyone who read this gave us just £1 – or even better, £1 monthly – we could change the world. Click here to make a difference. Thanks.

This is just going to generate more publicity for the movie and bad publicity for the feminists

One of the things I like to do with sites that allow comments, is to see how the argument develops. If you click on Mike’s link you get the facebook page of Palace Cinemas. Yesterday the ratings were fairly negative but today the feminists are out in support and the ratings are climbing higher.
I haven’t seen the film but the major issue is the curtailment of free speech. It reminds me of the furore years ago over Salman Rushdie’s book. Screaming hordes, many of whom probably couldn’t read (certainly not in English). Very similar situation this time in that many probably have never seen the film and why there a number of male feminist supporters puzzles me.
