Laura Perrins: Daycare generation are now the students throwing tantrums over safe spaces
An intriguing theory. Makes sense to me.
Video of Mike Buchanan standing in the road during an anti-MGM protest in Parliament Square
Our thanks to AVfM for this.
To the few people who’ve criticised my actions, I say this. The MRM is a human rights movement, and the government is assaulting the human rights of men and boys in at least 20 areas, as explained in our 2015 general election manifesto. One of those areas is MGM, where the police / CPS don’t press charges against the mutilators, despite knowing MGM is illegal in the UK.
Decade after decade, the government refuses to engage with MRAs, most notably in the area of access rights following family breakdowns. Civil disobedience is an inevitable progression, and we look forward to standing with others who feel likewise, including fathers’ rights protesters.
Patricia (‘Pat’) Glass MP, Shadow Europe Minister, at a Remain rally – “Speak to your mother, your grandmother. Don’t speak to your grandfather, we know the problem are older white men.”
A tip of the hat to Guido Fawkes for this.
Anti-MGM protests outside the Home Office and in Parliament Square, Mike Buchanan’s arrest
Last Wednesday we protested in London about the failure of the police / CPS to prosecute those who carry out the criminal offence of MGM. Our new placards for the day included this. We protested outside the Home Office because the police are accountable to the Home Office, and ultimately Theresa ‘this is what a feminist looks like’ May MP, Home Secretary. We then walked a short distance to protest in Parliament Square.
My thanks to Richard Ford for his blog piece on the matter, here. More photos and a video will be published in due course. In the meantime, herewith a few photos taken by Rod – the first outside the Home Office, the next two in Parliament Square, shortly before my arrest. The final photograph of me in a police van, following my arrest, was taken by Patrick Smyth. My thanks to all who joined us that afternoon.
Fidelbogen: A message to feminists
Enjoy (video, 3:27).
Lucian Valsan interviews Paul Elam
Enjoy (video, 1:14:50). At 42:22 the discussion turns to last Wednesday’s anti-MGM protests in London, my arrest in Parliament Square, and the potential future role of civil disobedience in the men’s rights movement. At 53:45 Paul and Lucian start an exchange on the London conference, now just five weeks away.
Kathy Gyngell: We don’t need no equality police. Able women know the free market is their friend.
Another solid piece from Kathy Gyngell. I was particularly pleased to see her mention of an Oxford professor who would have won a Whiny Feminist of the Month award the other day, if I’d had some time free. Kathy writes:
Ursula Martin, a Professor of Computer Science at Oxford University, used her platform last week at the Hay Festival to take out one unsuspecting young computer scientist for his unforgivable category error, on which she based her claim of ‘staggering’ sexism’ in the computer science industry. She ‘bawled’ him out, she said, for the crime of presenting his vision of ‘enhanced humanity’ in the male form.

Several tips of the hat to andybob for this.
A discussion with Talat Yaqoob on the Kaye Adams Show, BBC Radio Scotland
In March 2013 I was interviewed by Kaye Adams, a feminist presenter, for her show on BBC Radio Scotland – here. I was told in advance that I’d be informed of the identity of the feminist I’d be debating with, which is always helpful, as it gives the opportunity to research the person. But I wasn’t informed of the feminist’s identity in advance, and it turned out to be a particularly objectionable male feminist.
The same thing happened with the latest interview, but with a female feminist this time, Talat Yaqoob. Her blog is here, and the strapline starts:
Bringing you regular rage against the patriarchy…
Further background is in the description of the audio file (18:43). A truncated version (14:55) is on our YouTube channel – here.
